Author Profiles: Scopus Author Profile

Scopus ID

Scopus Author ID is a unique 11-digit identifier automatically assigned in  ScienceDirect and Scopus

A profile is automatically created and a unique identifier assigned to you. There is a precise algorithm behind matching your publications to your profile which may result in more than one profile being created for you. You can request amendments to a profile if items have been incorrectly added and merge profiles if more than one profile is assigned to you.

  • Obtain your h-index in publications indexed by Scopus.
  • Exchange data with ORCID.
  •  Scopus indexes over 22,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers since 1996. In addition to peer-reviewed journals, Scopus covers trade publications, open-access journals, books, conference papers, and patents.

How do I import Author details to ORCID?

The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to solving the name ambiguity problem in scholarly research by assigning a unique identifier to each author.

When an ORCID is associated with a Scopus author profile, viewers can see the link to that ORCID on the Author details page.

To associate your Scopus author profile with ORCID or to create an ORCID:

  1. Access an Author details page, from a search results list, a source document details page, or a document details page by selecting the author name.
  2. Select 'Connect to ORCID'.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect the author details to ORCID.
