Defining Plagiarism

"Whether it is intentional or unintentional plagiarism is deemed to be the unacknowledged inclusion in a student’s work of material derived from the published or unpublished work of another. The word ‘work’ includes internet sources, slides, poster presentations, laboratory reports, conversations, conference meetings, etc as well as printed material that form part of the assessment requirements for a programme of study."
